Well ladies and gentlemen, this is it. Your 2009 Milwaukee Brewers season has come and gone and so has this year's PYPFTB quest. Sadly, the season ended sooner than we all hoped and the quest with dry pants. Clearly the year was disappointing compared to last year, out of the race and out of contention with months to go.
But there were some great moments. The Brewers went down fighting- sweeping the playoff Cardinals- in dramatic fashion with the Prince leading the charge. I saw ESPN's pictures of the 2009 MLB season and the Brewers got a lot of daps in it: the Prince/Braun dong punching celebration; the Prince winning the Dong Derby; the Prince getting hit in the knee and attacking the other locker room; our triple play; the Prince getting robbed of a dong and Bernie having to climb back up the slide and the Prince tipping his cap; the Prince's atom bomb dong celebration! Notice a trend? It's a lot of the Prince. And that's one thing to be super-pumped about. We have this legitimate MVP candidate as our main man. With Ryan Braun supporting? I love it.
But seriously- thanks to everyone for a great year. I can't believe that there are this many people that check a site about pants-peeing and Brewers-loving. It's been fun with all you guys- Markmotown, Connie, Greg P, Stanley, Seattle Pilot, Cousin Jon, Stay Strongs, and the rest. Respect.

End of Jan, 2010...Spring training right around the corner...Can't wait to start year 2 of the new playoff drought! Last season this site had around 200 total replies (posts), from approx. 40 different people...Maybe this season it can top 220! Lets shoot for it...I will keep coming back to this site throughout the season to talk chit about Milwaukee (and the Brewers!), can't wait to read the excuses for poor play and missing the playoffs this season!!!

Anyone else getting pumped for the season? I think the pitching is improved (at least a little). I think we will miss Kendall behind the plate. My prediction is that the Crew will do better than last year, and I think they will be in the race in September... thinking maybe Attanasio will have to be a buyer again, a la CC, to get to the playoffs. Hoping that PYPFTB will be running again this year...

I don't know; I don't think we will miss Kendall all that much once things get going, though I wish him luck - especially the way his spring started off. I think we are gonna miss Soup - looks like they are gonna have to cut him. And I am crossing my fingers for Rickie - He appears to be coming back "Strong(s)" (pardon the pun). Anyway, I think we are in for a great 2010.
