Ewwwwwwwwww. That sandwich is gross and so are the Brewers. I was checking out the standings yesterday and everything is pretty much ironed out. The only real question is Detroit and Minnesota fighting for the AL Central. Atlanta won't catch Philly. There's a chance they could catch Colorado, except for the fact that the Brewers are playing Colorado. A sweep of the Rockies right now would've been pretty sweet for throwing some wrenches in spokes and tires.
By the way, I bike a fair amount and that's a big fear- a rod going through my spokes and catapulting (really? not catapAUlting?) me to who knows where.
Anyways- where not making it easier for any other teams. So it goes. The quest is now for 500. 5 games left. Gotta win 80%. Game on!

I know the team needs starting pitching, but could somebody please explain to me the logic of even entertaining the thought of trading Prince Fielder? Is it inevitable that he leaves Milwaukee--if not next year, then the year after that (or after that)? I'm very sad all of a sudden.

It will be interesting to see who will pay him what he wants. The Yankees have already signed Teixeira to a long-term deal, and listening to some sports talk radio, there are some other teams that probably won't go after him as well . . . Maybe the Brewers have been holding their pennies for the big Prince contract . . .maybe I'm just dreamin' . . . .
