This is Trevor's first save opportunity all season- so he should be fresh as a daisy. Instead, he's rusty as an old barn nail and just gets toasted for a two-run smack across the face. Supremely frustrating. That one must have hurt. Or maybe none of them hurt anymore. They're physically and mentally numb to the pain.

I think the Hoff will be around next year, and maybe even the year after that. At least I would like to see that. I mean, yeah, he threw a bad pitch last night, but that's only his 3rd blown save of the year vs. 30 saves--which probably would have been more if we had some good starting pitching this year. I definitely prefer Hoff to previous closer-by-committees, or Tunbow, or anyone else since Rollie Fingers!
